FAQS
Please find the most frequently asked questions Holly receives below.
HOW LONG ARE YOUR SESSIONS AND HOW MANY QUESTIONS MAY I ASK?
Sessions are typically one hour but may be extended due to the number of topics and pets being covered. There is no limit to the number of questions which may be asked or the number of pets who may be included. All pet communication sessions are live and interactive, either by an in-home visit or a phone consultation.
WHEN DID YOU REALIZE YOU COULD COMMUNICATE WITH ANIMALS?
I have always been able to communicate with animals, so I thought as a young child that everyone was able to do so. For a short period of time, I was told by my parents that I was just pretending to talk to animals. However, they soon observed my relationship with animals and reported communications were most unique. I feel really fortunate to have been raised in a home which included cats, dogs and horses.
WHAT TYPE OF PETS DO YOU INCLUDE IN YOUR COMMUNICATIONS?
Sessions have included dogs, cats, horses, birds, bunnies, llamas, goats, mules, cows, donkeys, rats, reptiles, pet squirrels, chinchillas, guinea pigs and potbellied pigs. Past communications with wildlife have also been successful.
HOW MANY SESSIONS DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Follow up sessions are at the discretion of the animal companions, as most things are understood/resolved within a single session. In cases of abused or neglected pets, an additional session may be helpful to allow them to continue healing, feel safe and cope with triggers from their past. Some clients opt for regular follow-up communications, especially regarding senior pets or to facilitate growth with ongoing training.
WHAT SHOULD PEOPLE EXPECT? PETS EXPECT?
I will send any message or ask any question the people would like addressed and share the pet’s responses. Animals freely share their concerns and needs.
Sessions include a wide array of topics, but some of the most common themes addressed are as follows:
Behavioral/emotional issues (eg anxiety, aggression, triggers from past experiences)
Health concerns (eg illness, injury, preparing for upcoming procedures and the recovery process, effective medications)
Changing family dynamics (eg moving, kids going to college, adding or losing pets or people)
Connecting with pets who have crossed
Enhancing bonding
Checking quality-of-life and when/how it’s time to say “goodbye"
Past history of adopted/rescued pets
WHAT IS THE MOST COMPLICATED ANIMAL TO READ?
I don’t find one particular species of animal/bird/reptile more complicated to read than another. Within the same species, some are very chatty, while others feel more self assured and receptive. What may be viewed as more complicated readings are ones for pets who have had multiple owners. In such cases, there is often abandonment issues or trauma which needs to be addressed, as it frequently presents as an unexplainable “trigger”. Through animal communication we are able to identify the root cause of the “trigger” then together design a strategy to improve the situation.
HOW IS READING ANIMALS DIFFERENT THAN READING PEOPLE?
In general, animals don’t have as many ego defense mechanisms as people. They don’t try to hide/block things because of fear of judgment. Once you have gained their trust, they seem to be more open and honest.
An exception to the previous statement is animals can be more stoic than humans about their physical ailments, which is why my gift of clairsentience is most helpful. I am able to feel in my body what the pet is experiencing in his/her body. It is just one of my psychic ways of knowing but is very imperative with animals, as by the time they noticeably present with physical problems their condition is most likely more serious.
SUCCESSFUL SESSION?
A successful session is achieving a deeper understanding between people and their animals, then collaborating to design plans to reach a more harmonious agreement. The pets will show signs of understanding the messages they were sent, and everyone will be on the same page.
ODDEST PET?
Many years ago, I received a phone call from a couple in California who wanted me to work with seven of their pets. Five of their pets were living and two were deceased (I also communicate with ones who have passed). Since they were unable to email pictures, they mailed them. When I opened the package, I discovered 7 pictures of squirrels. Geez, upon first glance, they all looked like the same squirrel! However, in doing the reading they were all very distinct in personality and temperament.
HOW DO I MAKE PAYMENT?
Paypal is the preferred means of payment, which does include an option for credit card payments. Other means of compensation may certainly be arranged, if Paypal is inconvenient.
